Testing at NYC-run sites is free and available to anyone age 4 and older. Rapid tests provide results in 20 minutes. Results for the more accurate PCR test take 24 hours to several days.
Insurance is not required at NYC-run sites, but if you have insurance, bring your insurance card. No one will be turned away for a test at a NYC-run site if they don't have insurance.
No immigration questions will be asked.
NOTE: If you don't want to be tested on a test van, visit this website for additional locations, but call before you go to one of these locations to find out if the test will be free or not, what kind of test is offered, and other requirements. Tests at drugstores, urgent care centers, and doctors' offices could require an appointment and may charge a fee.
NOTE: Test vans do not offer vaccination. Other NYC-run sites, such as hospitals, may offer both testing and vaccination. For where to be vaccinated, visit www.nyc.gov/vaccinefinder

If you go to a NYC Health + Hospitals site and have been waiting more than 30 minutes,
you will be offered an at-home test kit, if you would rather not wait longer.
If you are 65 years old or older, you may request to be tested at home.
At-home testing for COVID-19 is now available to all immunocompromised New Yorkers and those ages 65 and older. To schedule an in-home appointment, call (929)-298-9400 (MedRite) between 9am and 7pm (7 days a week).

$100 incentive. If it's your first dose, you'll be eligible for a $100 gift card if you're vaccinated at a NYC-run site or at home.
Boosters. Children 5-12 who are immunocompromised, otherwise, children 12 and older are eligible for the Pfizer booster. Anyone age 18 and older is eligible for the Moderna booster. You may mix vaccines when getting a booster. The time between your second Pfizer or Moderna shot has been shortened to 5 months. You may get a booster two months after a single Johnson & Johnson vaccine and it may be either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

Prefer to be vaccinated at home? Anyone age 5 and up is eligible to be vaccinated at home. Call 877-VAX4NYC (877-829-4692) or submit a request here. Note that there is usually at least a 2-week wait for at-home vaccination. More than one person may be vaccinated at the same time. Each person vaccinated is eligible for the $100 gift card, if it's their first dose.
