Vaccine Update

Updated: Apr 30, 2021

NEW YORKERS OVER 16 ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A FREE VACCINE

There are NO citizenship questions and the vaccine is not a public charge.

Bring proof of age and address with you to the vaccination site.

New York State and New York City vaccination sites allow walk-up vaccinations, no appointment needed. Some pharmacies also allow walk-ins. Call before you go.

If you need assistance in a language other than English or would like an appointment in spite of not needing one (for example, for an elderly relative or if you don't want to risk waiting in line), please call the New York City Vaccination Call Center at 877-829-4692.

NYC-run vaccination sites are listed on the pink flyer below. Please note days and hours of operation.

Pfizer vaccine is available to New Yorkers 16 and up. Two shots are required.

Moderna vaccine is available to New Yorkers 18 and up. Two shots are required.

Johnson & Johnson "one and done" vaccine is again being given due to the extremely low risk of serious side effects.

Homebound individuals who would like to be vaccinated at home and seniors age 65 and older who would like free transportation to and from a vaccination center, please look below the flyer.

FOR HOMEBOUND NEW YORKERS WHO WISH TO BE VACCINATED AT HOME

New York City is providing in-home Covid-19 vaccinations to eligible NYC residents who are fully homebound, have not already been vaccinated, and do not already have access to a vaccination program.

New Yorkers who believe they are eligible for an in-home vaccination can express interest using the form below and the City will call you to confirm your eligibility for the program. Caregivers, including family caregivers, of the homebound person may be vaccinated at the same time and place as the homebound person. When scheduling, let the scheduler know you would like to take advantage of this option: https://forms.cityofnewyork.us/f/homebound

FOR NEW YORKERS 65 AND OLDER WHO NEED TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM A VACCINATION SITE

To reserve free transportation to and from a vaccine site, including ambulette and taxi options, call 877-VAX-4-NYC. An operator will walk through the eligibility requirements and provide transportation options based on your needs.
