Income Caps Raised for Senior & Disabled Property Tax Exemptions


On July 25, 2017, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a law to increase the maximum income limit for the Senior Exemption and the Disabled Exemption from $37,400 to $58,400.

Even if you were denied for the 2017 tax year, whether applying for the first time or renewing your application, you may be eligible. If you applied in 2017 but were denied, you do not have to appeal.
